Wood is
our passion

Two brothers with a love for woodworking, a team of talented professionals, and a company history that dates back to the 1950s – that’s what makes our family business. With full appreciation for the tradition and experience of past generations, we boldly bridge the gap to a modern, clear design. This results in timeless and durable quality furniture that is manufactured with a high standard of fairness and sustainability in mind.

Our values

What matters to us

Few materials offer as much creative freedom as wood. With a great sense of form and function, we create timeless designs and durable furniture and unique pieces. We strive to always look at the material in a new way, to create long-lasting unique items of furniture that meet the highest design standards and become timeless classics.

A sustainable way of working is the standard that we apply to ourselves and our work in order to ensure a responsible use of natural resources. Thus, we not only process predominantly local woods, which we select ourselves, and ensure short transportation routes, but also strive for fair production. With our employees, partners, and customers, we treat each other fairly and appropriately out of conviction.

The carpentry trade is a traditional field of work. Our workshop and the people who work there put a lot of heart and soul into each individual piece. We are proud to be able to grow
with this historic profession and to pursue our passion in our work.

Our history

With experience and passion for the profession

The family-owned company Holz Greshake can now draw on many years of experience. Founded in the 1950s, the sawmill was expanded with the addition of a woodworking workshop and a pallet trading business by the entry of the third generation.

Joachim Greshake

Designer & Impulse generator

Jochen Greshake is the designer and conceptualist of the DESIGN LINE and REWOOD collections. The ideas, drawings, and visualizations of the furniture pieces are based on the architect, interior designer, and consultant, and are then manufactured in the workshop by Michael Greshake. His visions and impulses bring the designs to life.

Fun Fact

The name GRESHAKE runs like a red thread through our company – without having specifically aimed for it. Both we as owners, our DESIGN LINE designer Jochen Greshake, and the web designer of this website, Kerstin Greshake, share the same last name, which runs through our company like a red thread – without having specifically intended it. We are all design enthusiasts, although we are not related to each other.
